All products - Installation services are for connection to an existing, adjacent supply in apparent good order, and fitting of facia panels for integrated appliances. Any additional work will incur extra charges.
TV / DVD / AV-Kit etc – We recommend that customers save the box where possible for future transport including any warranty/service issues – especially important for the first few weeks.
Internet enabled product - To install this type of product we will need you to input any password(s) for your home broadband connection, please have these at hand.
Built in products – Installation service covers transfer of existing door panel(s) & plinth to new appliance (if suitable- ie not warped) and basic woodwork only. We reserve the right to decline this service should we discover upon arrival that you need a kitchen specialist. (In this case our installation charge would be refunded)
Gas appliances -very small kitchens (30 cubic metres or less = floor area 3mtrs x 5mtrs approx), or kitchens with no direct exterior door may require an air brick by law for your safety. Standard connection is to an existing supply in good order within 1 metre. Any additional work will incur additional charges. See below also.*
Kitchen appliances - WARNING most appliances are designed for use in heated rooms. Low temperatures can cause refrigeration to stop working and food to thaw / washing machines to flood / even tumble dryers to fail when water freezes - please check that the product is suited for this use if you intend using in an unheated room.
Most doors are right hinged, we can alter this on many goods, but the original side may be left marked by the original fixings. It is important that this chargeable service is arranged with our store before delivery as it takes time and is best done before delivery where more time and care can be taken.
Plumbing can be disturbed by disconnecting/re-connecting a product and leaks may not be apparent immediately, we recommend that you check for leaks for some time after installation. Let us know immediately should a leak start.
It may also be necessary to turn off your water/electricity/gas supply when installing kitchen appliances. Please check that the stop tap is working, turn off computers and be prepared. Other problems can sometimes show at this time i.e. if the ignition / thermocouple on your central heating boiler is faulty it may not restart after the supply interruption. This is due to a fault with the boiler and is not caused by our turning the supply off.
